Wu Yin, Former Deputy Director of the National Energy Administration: the Safety and System Reliability of Energy Storage Need to Be Strengthened
On September 1st, Wu Yin, former deputy director of the National Energy Administration, delivered a speech at the 11th China international light storage and charging conference. He pointed out some problems faced by the new stage of the development of new energy storage and provided some suggestions for this.
Wu Yin pointed out that the current domestic new energy storage still faces several problems. The first is energy storage the cost is relatively high, and most enterprises are still on the break-even point; The second is that in terms of technology, the safety and system reliability of energy storage still need to be strengthened; The third is that the market-oriented mechanism is not perfect, the actual value of energy storage has not been brought into full play; The fourth is the problem of coordination, especially the distribution and storage of new energy sources such as photovoltaic, there is still a dilemma of building but not using.
To this end, Wu Yin put forward several suggestions. First, we must adhere to the system concept to carry out planning. Second, we must plus-sized the research and development of science and technology and the application of science and technology. Third, we must improve the reliability of equipment and the stability of the system. Fourth, we must play a decisive role in the allocation of resources by the market, improve the value of establishing and perfecting new energy allocation and energy storage.
