Through external heating, acupuncture, internal heating and other methods, observe whether the battery pack is on fire or exploded, and record the alarm time of the thermal event.
In the past standard, the technical requirement for battery thermal diffusion test is to provide thermal event alarm signals 5 minutes before fire and explosion. This time, the new national standard will further improve the safety: during the thermal diffusion test, battery pack will not catch fire or explode (the battery unit still needs to be warned when it is out of control of heat), and the flue gas will not cause damage to passengers, therefore, it is called the strictest battery safety standard in history.
Change 3: New vehicle and power battery bottom impact test
during daily driving, the base impact and bottom scraping caused by road gravel, bulge speed bump or foreign matter are common scenarios that cause potential safety hazards of power batteries. In recent years, the power battery fire accidents caused by the bottom impact of new energy vehicles are relatively high. In response to this high-speed situation, two new national standards have added the bottom of the vehicle respectively.Protection requirements, test methods for scraping the bottom of the whole vehicle, impact test on the bottom of the power battery, and it is required that the power battery should not catch fire or explode in both tests, and meet the requirements of insulation resistance.
Among them, the bottom scraping test is that the vehicle collides with a solid hemisphere barrier with a diameter of 15cm at a speed of 35 km/h, simulate the scene where the bottom of the electric vehicle and the front of the protruding obstacles on the road surface scratch when the vehicle is running, and focus on the safety protection of the vehicle to battery pack during the actual operation.
The new bottom impact test examines the protection capability of the bottom of the battery after being impacted. By repeatedly hitting the bottom with a 10kg impact head for 3 times, fly rock, when foreign matters such as ground obstacles strike from under the vehicle, it is required that battery pack do not catch fire, explode, leak or break, and meet the requirements of insulation resistance.
Change 4: Add Security Test after fast charging cycle

In addition, the new national standard is mainly for newly produced and newly applied for access to electric vehicle products, and vehicles that have been legally purchased and used normally do not need to be replaced.
