On September 5th, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology publicly requested 《 lithium ion battery for electric bicycle the opinions of the health assessment guidelines are aimed at ensuring the scientificity, rationality and operability of the health assessment process of lithium ion batteries for electric bicycles.

The document puts forward the health assessment criteria of lithium ion batteries for electric bicycles from the aspects of appearance, label identification, internal resistance, maximum output voltage, attenuation rate of discharge capacity, etc., and gives detailed detection methods. Consumers can refer to the above contents to carry out health assessment on lithium-ion batteries for electric bicycles on their own to eliminate potential safety hazards in a timely manner. Local governments can also speed up the construction of health assessment network by referring to the health assessment guidelines to provide authoritative and accurate health assessment services for lithium-ion battery users of electric bicycles in the region. Relevant outlets shall meet the requirements of technical conditions, layout, accessibility, convenient recycling and other aspects in the health assessment guidelines to ensure that they can undertake the health assessment tasks of lithium ion batteries for electric bicycles in a standardized manner.

Public consultation on guidelines for health assessment of lithium-ion batteries for electric bicycles

in order to implement the deployment of the whole chain rectification work of potential safety hazards of electric bicycles under the State Council, effectively identify potential safety hazards around the broad masses of the people, and actively prevent mass casualties caused by electric bicycle fires, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, together with relevant departments, has studied and drafted the guidelines for health assessment of lithium-ion batteries for electric bicycles, and now invites public opinions.
