In order to achieve the goal of carbon neutralization, promote the development of energy electronics industry, and accelerate the integration and innovation of solar photovoltaic, new energy storage products, key terminal applications, Key Information Technologies (optical storage terminals), implement the spirit of "Guiding Opinions on Promoting the development of energy electronics industry" issued by six departments including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT United Electronics [2022] 181), ministry of Industry and Information Technology relies on Ministry of Industry and Information Technology lithium ion battery and similar product standards working group has been gradually carrying out standardization work related to sodium ion batteries.

In order to further promote the industrialization and standard system construction of sodium ion batteries and better understand the current situation of the industry, the working group of lithium ion batteries and similar product standards of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, zhongguancun Energy Storage Industry Technology Alliance organized and carried out the first batch of sodium ion battery product evaluation activities nationwide. This evaluation was conducted by Saixi laboratory of China Institute of Electronic Technology Standardization according to the cycle life project of Zhongguancun energy storage industry technology alliance group standard T/CNESA 1006-2021 "General Specification for sodium ion batteries.
