Since This Year, Many Companies Have Announced the Technical Route of Solid-State Batteries.

time:2024-12-10

On December 6, SAIC said on the investor interaction platform that SAIC's new generation solid State Battery it is a technical route based on polymer-inorganic composite electrolyte.

Previously, SAIC said that the new generation of solid-state batteries is planned to achieve mass production in 2026. The energy density is higher, the energy density exceeds 400Wh/kg, the volume energy density exceeds 820Wh/L, and the battery capacity can exceed 75Ah; The safety performance is better. In the scenarios of acupuncture and 200 ℃ hot box, it can ensure that cell is not on fire and does not explode; The scope of application is wider, and the low-temperature capacity retention rate of solid-state batteries exceeds 90%.

Solid Electrolyte is the core component of solid-state lithium ion battery. According to material properties, solid-state battery can be divided into polymer electrolyte, oxide electrolyte, sulfide electrolyte, halide electrolyte and other technical routes. Among them, sulfide electrolyte has attracted much attention in the industry due to its advantages of excellent conductivity, high energy density and long cycle life, and is considered to be the most potential solid electrolyte.

It is understood that Japanese and Korean enterprises represented by Toyota, Nissan, Honda, LG and Samsung SDI have a large distribution of sulfide technology routes. Among Chinese battery manufacturers, ningde era and BYD also chose this technology route; While some enterprises in Europe, America and China mainly focus on oxide and polymer routes.

Since this year, many companies in our country have announced the technical route of solid-state batteries:

SAIC: Polymer

nandu power supply: Oxide

high energy age: sulfide

desai battery: In-situ polymerization and oxide

qingtao energy: the first generation of semi-solid batteries use oxide + polymer, and the second generation of solid batteries choose oxide + halide + polymer

ningde era: sulfide

yi Li New Energy: sulfide

penghui energy: Oxide

starfish: Oxide

huawei: sulfide

Sunwoda: Polymer
