In the first half of 2024, China's lithium ion battery (hereinafter referred to as "lithium battery") industry continued to grow. According to the Enterprise Information and Industry Association calculation of lithium battery industry standard announcement, the total output of lithium battery in the first half of the year was 480GWh, up 20% year on year.

In the battery link, the output of energy storage lithium battery exceeded 110GWh from January to June. The loading capacity of power lithium batteries for new energy vehicles is about 203GWh. From January to June, the total export volume of lithium batteries in China reached 193.4 billion yuan.

In the first-order material link, from January to June, the output of positive electrode material, negative electrode material, diaphragm and electrolyte reached 1.26 million tons, 820000 tons, 8.3 billion square meters and 510000 tons respectively, the year-on-year growth rate was above 16%.

In the second-order material link, from January to June, the national output of lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide was 298000 tons and 175000 tons respectively, and the battery grade was lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide (Micro Powder grade) the average price is 103000 yuan/ton and 93000 yuan/ton respectively.
