The State Administration of market supervision issued a document agreeing to the formal establishment of the "national new energy vehicle storage and energy supply industry measurement test center", which was prepared by Anhui Institute of Metrology.

In March, 2017, the former General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine approved Anhui province to build a national new energy vehicle storage and energy supply industry measurement and testing center relying on Anhui Institute of Metrology. Since its self-raised construction, the center has carried out a lot of innovative work in the two fields of energy storage and energy supply, focusing on solving the two themes of energy storage and energy supply industry demand of new energy vehicles and serving government supervision.

In energy storage in the field, a series of on-line measuring equipment including the on-line measuring and testing system of the separation and integration cabinet has been developed, which has greatly improved the consistency level of battery products of enterprises such as Guoxuan Gaoke. He has also invested in the research of new energy storage and testing technology, participated in the research and development of the world's leading formic acid hydrogen generation technology and vehicle-mounted system, and has already built a 20kW formic acid hydrogen generation power generation system.

In the field of energy supply, the center has developed the first on-site performance testing system for vehicle-mounted charging facilities in China, and has put forward an online metering and monitoring scheme for charging facilities, which has been successfully demonstrated in many cities in the province, it realizes on-line real-time supervision of the metering performance of charging facilities and can help the full coverage of mandatory verification of charging facilities.

In addition, the center led the establishment of "national new energy vehicle storage and energy supply products industry measurement and testing Alliance", "Anhui New Energy Vehicle Standardization Technical Committee", "Anhui new energy automobile industry development alliance energy storage and supply industry measurement and testing sub-Alliance" fully integrates industrial resources. Further strengthen the construction of measurement and testing capability, build a batch of highest measurement standard instruments with distinctive industrial characteristics, formulate a batch of scientific and practical measurement technical specifications, and improve the industrial value transmission system with outstanding characteristics and advanced technology.

In November 2023, the center successfully passed the on-site acceptance organized by the State Administration of market supervision.

In the future, the center will further strengthen the research and development of measurement and testing technology and the construction of innovation ability of measurement and technology, take demand as the orientation, and take improving industrial quality and core competitiveness as the goal, continuously strengthen the research and application of measurement and testing technologies, methods and equipment with industrial characteristics, and provide "full traceability chain, full industrial chain, the whole life cycle" and forward-looking metering and testing technology services promote the innovative development of the national new energy vehicle storage and energy supply industry.
