Lithium battery, as an important energy storage equipment, is widely used in electric vehicles, mobile communication equipment, energy storage systems and other fields. However, temperature is one of the important factors that affect the performance of lithium batteries. High temperature and low temperature environment will affect the performance of lithium battery. This article will discuss the influence of high and low temperature on the performance of lithium battery and propose corresponding solutions.
1. High temperature pair lithium battery performance impact
(1) capacity loss: under high temperature environment, the chemical reaction rate inside the battery increases, which leads to the increase of the loss of positive and negative electrode materials, thus causing the loss of battery capacity.
(2) shorten the cycle life: high temperature will accelerate the aging process of the battery and reduce the cycle life of the battery. Excessive temperature may also lead to evaporation of electrolyte and decomposition of electrolyte, further affecting the stability of the battery.

3. Methods to solve the influence of high and low temperature on lithium battery performance
(1) temperature control: keep the battery working in a suitable temperature range to avoid the influence of too high or too low temperature on the battery performance.
(2) isolation and insulation: in extreme temperature environment, take isolation and insulation measures to maintain the stable temperature of the battery.
(3) optimizing battery design: by optimizing the structure and material of the battery, the performance of the battery in high and low temperature environment is improved.
