Ensights Is about to Launch a Software Tool to Optimize Energy Storage Investment Calculation.
EnSights, a developer of renewable energy portfolio management software, recently launched a software tool that can calculate the optimal scale of battery energy storage systems.

For most battery Energy Storage systematically speaking, choosing the appropriate scale is the main factor for the success of business cases. If the scale of the battery energy storage system is too small, its operators will not be able to fully grasp the market opportunities. If the scale is too large, its owners and investors may overspend.
EnSights claims that this tool can generate cost forecasts instantly and recommend ideal battery size and energy storage project operation mode. It achieves this goal by evaluating the scale and technical capabilities of the proposed deployed battery energy storage system and the revenue data from the energy and grid service market opportunities.
Alon EnSights, co-founder and CEO of Mashkovich, said that the new tool could help decision makers mitigate some risks that still exist in judging the fast-growing energy storage market. These risks include high investment costs, energy price fluctuations, and different incentive structures in American states, different transmission regions, and wholesale markets.
Roy Fadida, chief product officer and co-founder of the company EnSights, said that the product was developed to respond to customers' inquiries. The customer said at that time that due to the complexity of battery optimization, their ability to deploy battery energy storage systems is severely limited and slows down.
Fadida claims that customers testing software tools have significantly accelerated the deployment of energy storage projects.
EnSights the company used a proprietary model to create a scale software tool for the battery energy storage system, which can balance the financial return and the optimal asset life cycle of the energy storage system.
In other words, this software tool obtains battery specifications and degradation parameters, including charge-discharge round-trip efficiency (RTE), discharge depth (DoD) and charge-discharge cycle, and calculate the balance between the income obtained from market opportunities and the possible impact on the energy storage system.
So far, EnSights company has provided an AI-driven, cloud-based centralized monitoring and asset management platform for household storage, industrial and commercial energy storage, and large renewable energy facilities and investment portfolios.
EnSights the company will launch this product at the RE + clean energy industry exhibition held in Anaheim, California in September. The company said that this software tool can be applied to solar + energy storage projects, as well as independently deployed battery energy storage systems. The company said that EnSights can also use battery energy storage projects on its asset management, monitoring and control platform.
